Two weeks down, one to go. Time is passing too quickly! We thought you'd appreciate a parent's / chaperone's perspective of the trip so far. We can report that:
1. The group is still free of neck and face tattoos.
2. No incarcerations.
3. Only one student is currently unaccounted for (we won't reveal the name so as not to cause unnecessary worry).
4. To date all students have passed their morning breathalizer / alcohol tests.
5. No "Lord of the Flies" group dynamics.
In truth we have really enjoyed getting to know the students! At the risk of giving them big heads we can say that they are friendly, respectful, and seemed to have welcomed us as chaperones. It is a pleasure to spend time with them! We will miss the Academites when our journey comes to an end.
All smiles and we haven't even left Chicago!
Is this the bus for us?
Frau Fraser entertaining us with her Alp Horn skills.
Smiles of relief at the summit.
All the best, Sue and Bill Lyon
